In addition to only requiring a few basic ingredients and a short amount of time to prepare, this lavender latte recipe is quite similar to my filthy chai latte and contains sweetened cold foam.

Ingredients for a lavender latte
There are only 3 basic items needed to make this homemade lavender latte:
• Espresso – Use a strong coffee or an espresso maker to make your own espresso (I use my Nespresso machine).
• Milk – I used whole milk in this recipe, but I have an inventory of substitute milks below.
• Lavender syrup: I’ll demonstrate how to make a homemade version with only three ingredients, or you can purchase your own.

TIP: I used 1 tablespoon of this lavender syrup for a small latte with 1-2 shots of espresso and 1 cup of milk, but you may adjust the amount to your liking.

Lavender and water are combined and brought to a boil in a small pot. After boiling, lower the temperature to a simmer. Before taking it off the heat, let the mixture simmer for three to four minutes. Wait for the mixture to cool to room temperature.
Use the strainer to remove the remaining lavender buds form the water when the lavender and liquid have cooled. It’s crucial to let it cool before straining so that the mixture can steep.
2. Prepare the milk and coffee
You’ll need the last of your materials and components for the next phase. You can substitute some of these supplies with others of your choice. But in this article, we’ll tell you how we like to do it.
Make one strong cup of coffee in the beginning using your preferred coffee maker (or one shot of espresso if you’re using a French press or espresso machine).
While the espresso is brewing, pour milk into a bowl and heat it with a milk steamer until it has the consistency of light froth. Usually, 30 to 45 seconds are adequate.
If you don’t have a milk steamer, there is a quick alternative. Pour the milk into a container that has a tight top that is microwave-safe. microwave for about a minute without the cover. You want the milk to be warm but not boiling hot.
